LANGUAGE   USED

Language used in HTML .HTML stands   for Hypertext Markup Language. Hypertext   is ordinary text   that   has been dressed up    within extra features    such as   formatting, images, multimedia and links   to other documents.

 

 Markup is the   process of   taking    ordinary   text   and   adding   extra   symbols, such    as   editors   proof reading symbols such as editor’s proof reading symbols are types of markup. Each of the symbols used for markup in HTML is command that tells the browser how to display the text.

3.1 Why I have selected HTML?

Html is computer language, related to computer programming like BASIC,C and PASSCAL.HTML has its own syntax and rules for communication. Markup language is special type of computer language. They are concerned with only parts documents to their functions. They indicate which part of document is title, which is subheading, which is author name and so on .HTML is not really a programming language, but it is a markup language.

A. HTML features

           

                       The Internet is an international network of computers that exchange information with each other. The World Wide Web (www) is vast inter connected library of information, art and commerce. The web consists of several web pages .HTML is used to build web pages. Once web page is build it can be published on Internet. Publishing means transferring web pages to server so that people all over the world will be able to read it. There is a huge verity of web pages, for example we have home page, fashion pages, interior pages, network pages (list of web pages). Once the web page is published, Internet tools called web browser can access it. Internet explorer (IE) or Netscape Navigator is web browser. HTML can be used to build any type of web pages. It is a universal language for classifying the function of different parts of your page. You can indicate which part is title, which part is address, which part should be emphasized and which part should include an image so on .HTML classifying parts of your document so that a browser can display it correctly. this allows the document to be display on my different kinds of platform. That is the document can be display on different hardware having different operating system HTML is designed to work not only on simple pc’s but also on simple pc’s but also on graphical but also on graphical work station, dump terminals, network computers, hand held devices and much more.

HTML document cannot only be put on computer screen but also on printer, fax machine, TV sets, games consoles, digital watches and text to speech machines. Even on phone you can hear web page.

        

B. Advantages

                                 

·   For creating HTML document, what you need is only text editor. No special software is required.

·        Example in windows we can use Notepad for a HTML document.

·        HTML document can be created on any hardware platform using any text editor.

·        You can work on your web site even when you are away from your usual computer.

·        You will have a much better concept of the structure of your page and understanding of how it works.

·        If something is not working, then finding error is easy in HTML.

HTML will not cost you anything for its use. There are no expensive licenses to buy or no upgrades to purchase.
